The University of Akron hosted the campus' Iron Chef Competition on Monday evening in the Student Union Ballrooms. The competition allowed three groups of five students to compete against each for top chef. Each team was under the supervision of a chef advisor for the dinner.
President Luis Proenza received a five percent raise from the Board of Trustees on Wednesday during its regularly scheduled meeting. His new total salary, not including bonuses, is $354,495. This increase took affect in Jan. 1. This equates to $170.43 an hour in a 40-hour work week.
Saundra Hunt has family all over the world. She is married with two children in the military, but through a support group she started, Hunt has gained thousands of "family" members.
